Product Description
Designed to be the ultimate competitive real-time strategy game, StarCraft II features the return of the Protoss, Terran, and Zerg races, overhauled and re-imagined with Blizzard's signature approach to game balance. It also featurse a custom 3D-graphics engine with realistic physics and the ability to render several large, highly detailed units and massive armies on-screen simultaneously.StarCraft II: Heart of the Swarm is an expansion pack to the military science-fiction real-time strategy game StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty and part two of the planned StarCraft II trilogy.Heart of the Swarm continues the epic story from Wings of Liberty with an all-new campaign that focuses on Kerrigan, the erstwhile Queen of Blades.
Story
The Queen of Blades is gone. On the hellish planet Char, Jim Raynor harnessed the power of an ancient Xel’Naga artifact in a desperate bid to stop the zerg Swarm from overrunning the Koprulu sector, and the artifact restored Sarah Kerrigan to her human form. Without their queen to guide and unify them, the Swarm has fractured into several broods scattered throughout the Koprulu sector. One of the greatest threats to the galaxy has been neutralized... or so it seems.Sarah Kerrigan is on the loose. Even without the terrible powers of the Queen of Blades or the might of the Swarm at her command, the former Ghost remains a foe not to be taken lightly. But if the artifact really did set her free, then why is Kerrigan seeking out zerg broods scattered throughout the Koprulu sector? What happened to Jim Raynor? Is she still pursuing her quest for vengeance, or has her transformation given Kerrigan a new purpose?
In StarCraft II: Heart of the Swarm, players must help Sarah Kerrigan fight her way through a vast single-player campaign that will take they to some of the most dangerous worlds of the Koprulu sector. Players will face cunning enemies, harsh environments, and challenges that will push skills on the battlefield to their limit.
Features
The features of single-player campaign:The campaign will include approximately 20 new missions. Players will be able to evolve their swarms with unique, campaign-only units and abilities, and this evolution will happen in an organic manner befitting of the expansion’s Zerg theme. Some technical upgrades to the graphics engine: including upgrades to the look and behavior of zerg creep, as well as some changes that allow our artists to better showcase the new types of planets that Kerrigan will explore in Heart of the Swarm.
The changes made to multiplayer: the expansion set includes new units and new maps.

Favorite game, at a decent price Review by Mark
Hots is my new favorite but struggled to find it for cheaper than 50-60$. A 35$ price tag makes much more sense to me. :) (Posted on 5/13/13)

Started ... slowly ... i am stunned by the game Review by R. Langen
First things first:
Bought the game for the singleplayer as i am not a multiplayer fan of this game. Or you could say it is kinda complicated for me for all this micro management stuff.
The Singleplayer Game:
This game is just stunning. The CGI movies are stunning and breathtaking. They take you into the story with belief on the faces of the characters. The expressions and how breathtaking it all is it really adds a lot to the game itself. It may not be the ingame graphics but that does not matter.
The graphics on that note are not changed. Gameplay of the campaign is fluent and the achievements are something that will keep you playing for more hours. A lot has been added, it is more of a full added game then an expansion. The money is well worth it if you are a fan of either this franchise or a RTS fan.
The music to the game is just great, is has been well composed and it adds a lot to either the time you are building stuff and waiting as the combat that will start.
All in all, they did a great job on Heart of the Swarm. Worth it! (Posted on 3/13/13) -
Started ... slowly ... i am stunned by the game Review by R. Langen
Good day,
I finished downloading the game and adding it to my battle.net account. Optimized it, started it, did the campaign for 4 missions so far.
The Campaign:
The game really sucks you in from the start. It is every expectation i had so far of the story line and the CGI movies they made for this. It is just stunning and compelling. You just want to continue the game just to see the next movie, the next part of the story line. This is why we got this game. Mind blowing.
Added content:
The game graphics are as the vanilla version, nothing has changed. A lot of achievements have been added and a lot of challenges can be done. Real good addition to your collection and it can fill up hours to complete everything.
Multiplayer:
That is for the hardcore people to write, i bought it for coop AI mode (i know it is multiplayer mode .. kinda.. ) but i am just not that good for it. I am sure a lot can be gained there as well.
Overall from my experience so far in this game they brought out something good. Playing zerg really adds something to the game. I won't go into detail because then i spoil it for you who have to find out.
Regards,
